Discovering the harmony between artistic idea and function in a work of applied art is not a simple task, but it is very interesting. It encourages experimentation, breaking the rules, and solving the challenges with outside-the-box thinking. The Object Art study programme taught at the Academy of Arts of the Faculty of Arts and Education of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution, which combines four specializations – glass, leather, ceramics and textiles – creates opportunities to acquire necessary theoretical knowledge and practice to overcome this task.

The group exhibition “Creative Experiments” by the students of the Object Art study programme reveals that young artists do not only acquire a solid foundation in applied art during their studies. Their studies give them the opportunity to experiment with materials, techniques, different instruments of expression and even different branches of art.

The viewer is invited to follow the creative ideas of young artists and let his/her imagination run free in the exhibition “Creative Experiments”.

Participants of the Exhibition: Daiva Kupstienė, Eglė Anušauskaitė, Ieva Parščenkovaitė, Laura Grybauskaitė, Samanta Vildytė, Vilius Paulauskas, Monika Imbrasaitė, Augustina Budžiulytė, Aurelija Jovani, Laurinta Praščiūnaitė
